A hamsa hand held open, its fretwork built up across five layers with a single eye at its centre. This is the premium piece in the range: behind the wood sit a clear acrylic pane, a see-through mirror and a final mirrored layer, so the lit pattern repeats and spills, falling away inward like a corridor with no back wall. In folk tradition the hamsa is a hand-shaped sign of protection and intuition, carried across Middle Eastern and North African cultures to turn away the evil eye, and that watchful eye sits lit at the very heart of the pattern. Turn it low in a quiet corner and it's a calm blue night-light; turn the dial and it moves through seven colours and four modes, the depth changing with every shade. It runs off any USB with a plug in the box, so it's ready the moment it lands, and it makes a considered, handmade gift for a new home or for someone drawn to what the hamsa means. The hamsa is our own design, drawn from scratch in our studio rather than bought in as a ready-made file, and we laser-cut and finish each one by hand in Fife, so allow 2–7 days from order to dispatch.
