Sat up on its haunches with its fringe flopped over its eyes, ears out to the sides and little hooves tucked in at the front, this is a wee Highland calf. The whole calf is cut in six layers of wood over a clear acrylic core, the shaggy coat drawn as flowing lines that curl and overlap so the fur reads with real depth.
Lit from a small round base, the light washes soft through the acrylic, a gentle green or a calm blue to settle a baby down, or wound warmer for the rest of the room, with seven colours, four modes and the brightness on a dial. The Highland coo has long been a bit of a national sweetheart up here, which makes the calf a soft first gift for a new arrival.
It runs off any USB and comes with a plug included, so there's no wiring to sort by the cot. The wee calf is our own drawing, worked up in the studio and never a file bought in, and we laser-cut and hand-finish each calf in natural oil, usually within 2 to 7 days of your order, and it winds right down soft enough to leave on through the night.
