For the kid who can name every dinosaur and a few no one else has heard of, here's the king of them all. This T-Rex is built from six laser-cut wood layers, caught mid-roar with its tail up, the whole body filled with swirls and curls the light picks out from behind. Every T-Rex starts as our own drawing, not a file bought in, and we laser-cut each one to order and finish it by hand in Fife, usually 2–7 days before it roars off to you, and it makes a handmade gift for a birthday or a new big-kid room. Set it going and colour washes over those swirls, cool blue to green to red, with four modes to run through and the brightness on a dial. It runs off any USB with a plug in the box, so it works from a bedside socket, a laptop or a power bank with no bulbs to fit, and stays soft enough low to leave on as a night-light beside the bunk.
