The thistle is Scotland's flower, and it has carried a stubborn kind of pride ever since one supposedly gave away a barefoot night raid. This one is laid out as a round mandala, the purple flower head and its spiky bulb set inside a green sunburst frame and built up in six laser-cut wood layers so it sits in real relief.

It is about 90 mm across, hand-painted in natural oil woodstain so the grain still shows, with a strong magnet on the back that will hold a week of notes and photos to the fridge. Our own design, drawn and made in Fife.
