Full head raised, a wide spread of antlers reaching out to either side and tipped in pale cream. The face is a flow of fine, symmetrical linework, layer over layer of laser-cut wood hand-painted in natural oil woodstain and stacked, the grain showing through, with deep russet curling over forest green and cream so the features carry right across a room.
Each layer stands a little proud of the one beneath, and a soft shadow pools behind the whole head. In Highland tradition the red stag is read as the monarch of the glen, a quiet emblem of strength and the wild. This is our own Highland drawing, painted layer by layer here in Fife, and we make each stag to order, around two to seven days before it ships. It rewards a close look, every line laser-cut and painted by hand, then reads as one bold silhouette from the far side of the room.
