A wolf's face fills the whole dial, drawn in symmetrical mandala linework, and you read the time by the hands rather than any numbers. The ears rise into two points above the circle, a fine dashed ring runs round the inside as a quiet time track, and the whole face is built from laser-cut layers of wood, each finished in its own colour, then glued and stacked into relief.
The muzzle and brow are warm natural wood tone, with sage-green painted through the fur and around the eyes, cream highlights, and a deep brown outline holding the lines together, all of it coloured with natural oil woodstain so the grain runs through the linework. A quiet battery quartz movement keeps it running, and the white hands read clearly from across the room. Wolves are often read as instinct, loyalty and the pull of the wild, which suits a face this watchful. Our own design, drawn and cut in our Fife workshop.
